Project Accountant working in a PMO function exclusively required for a Payments company recently acquired by a Private Equity business to enable their rapid transformation and growth. Based in Frankfurt with great challenging and independent opportunities for career growth.
The Project Accountant will report to the Group Director of Accounting with a second report to the PMO Lead. The Project Accountant will be working across Accounting, Controlling and Treasury, with an exciting opportunity for career progression.
Responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:
- Liaising with Project Managers across the business and the Accounting team to ensure accurate recording of costs and detailed explanation of variances
- Develop and improve processes for capturing of costs
- Communicating with suppliers to ensure invoicing processes are followed
- Supporting the Group Director Accounting in the application of various accounting policies to project expenditure including capitalisation, non-recurring categorisation
- Monitoring costs vs budgets and updating forecasts
- Investigating and resolving queries relating to actual project costs
- Working with Treasury to ensure the cashflow impacts of project spend is fully reflected in the weekly cashflow forecasting
To be successful you must have the following experience:
- Qualified Accountant
- Payments industry experience
- SAP FI experience
- Knows what good looks like and able to set up accountancy standards and templates
- German speaking would be advantegous but not a fundamental requirement.
