Project Manager to lead the deployment of a Media System upgrade and subsequent ERP deployment in Germany (Hamburg).
A Finance Project Manager with experience of delivering technology-enabled finance process transformation - in this case deploying a cloud-based ERP template (Microsoft Dynamics 365) into a German finance department to drive standardisation of processes and systems in accordance with the global design.
The candidate will be:
- structured, and able to bring together and manage delivery of multiple plans and dependencies across workstreams.
- bi-lingual (German and English)
- have experience of deploying a global solution template, minimising change to critical Tax, Legal, Statutory requirements.
- Have a broad range of consulting skills to manage and facilitate alignment between stakeholders in London (his/her reporting line) and Germany (local stakeholders).
- Be able to work closely with the German CFO and CIO to resolve issues and build commitment.
The German business is about to define and launch a project to reinstall a vanilla version of their media system which will fundamentally impact their operations. The intention is to remove complexity and customisation and move back to vanilla for the same software (DML). This is a pre-requisite for the Finance ERP deployment next year, since we will need to integration the systems. Our scope is to deliver the ERP project off the back of that more fundamental change, but we do have budget assigned for a PM to engage with the market team ASAP to make sure we have integrated planning and clear dependencies, and that the decisions made for the media system are aligned and enable the deployment of our global template. It is also an opportunity to track progress, call out risks/issues and to ultimately identify where we can get ahead and drive synergies for the overall roadmap in Germany.
