Beschreibung

For our client located nearby Aschaffenburg, we are looking for a Tool engineer (m/f).



Aufgaben:

Ensures adequate requirements evaluation and inputs for all relevant project items within the area of responsibility such as; legal regulations, standards and norms or customer specifications, in reconciliation with project teams and support functions.

o Lead Tool administrative and support activities working closely with IT to close out support tickets in a timely manner.

o Work closely with IT to ensure global system and tool requirements are developed and comprehended.

o Maintain and administer Engineering Tools web site.

o Develop and maintain global engineering tool chain road map to include; strategies, business plans, usage models and growth plans. Proactively recognize needs and develop plans accordingly.

o Develop and maintain project timing for tool development and roll-out.

o Support budget planning and adherence of actual cost against plan of cost center, project, - work packages or other related cost items.

o Promote and utilize lessons learned and best practices in areas of responsibility.

o Generate and maintain all necessary documentation and data in all areas of responsibility  to ensure traceability and compliance to company procedures (e.g. Process or Work Instructions)

o Develop tool training and help guides as needed. Conduct training as required.

o Maintain interface to Engineering and Development Quality to establish:

o Continuous improvement of processes, interfaces, methods and templates

o Continuous improvement of global engineering tool chain

o Ensure availability and functionality of global engineering tool chain

o Participate in continuous improvement efforts for processes and tools

o Work closely with Process Engineers to align engineering tools and processes to ensure all tools support processes in the most efficient and effective manner.

o Perform complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving and decision making, requiring strong technical competency.

o Work assignments primarily involve senior/advanced level work and may mentor other tools engineers.  

o Lead planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of all related activities for various projects.

o Coordination of tool work assignments

o Performs other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals

o Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.  Ensures that facilities are in full compliance with all safety regulations.

o Maintains regular attendance.

o Follows safe work procedures; Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); Uses workplace tools and equipment as instructed; Reports workplace hazards, injuries and illness as soon as possible following event.

o Complies with the requirements of Quality Operating System (QOS)



Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Master’s preferred)

o 8+ years’ experience in developing and working with engineering tool development especially in the area of administration of engineering tools and IT systems and infrastructures

o Advanced knowledge of problem management and problem solving

o Advanced knowledge of project management

o Advanced knowledge of Process Modeling

o Advanced knowledge of Automotive Standards e.g. V-Model, SPICE/CMMI or comparable

o Good knowledge in Tool and System Administration (ALM such as PTC preferred)

o Good knowledge in planned and structured approaches

o Good knowledge of licensing servers and hosting systems

o Advanced knowledge in Programming language (i.e. SQL, Java)

o Advanced knowledge of MS Office package (i.e. MS Excel)

o Good knowledge in Requirements and Configuration Management Systems (i.e. PTC Integrity)

o Planned and structured approach

o Cross functional thinking

o Team oriented with assertiveness ability and social competencies

o Travel (domestic and international) may be needed.

o Able to work effectively in a global environment

o Able to lead and motivate a cross functional team

o Able to present relevant topics internally and externally

o Excellent communication skills

o Self-motivation, tenacity, and determination are very useful in this position

o Must be able to work independently with no supervision

o Must be able to teach and mentor other engineers

o Good knowledge in structured engineering approach
