Telco BSS Transformation Senior Solutions Architect
Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for defining a module or modules of the overall BSS solution (eg billing, CRM, charging, mediation, provisioning, ESB, etc).
Responsibilities:
- He/she will lead the solution architecture definition for a specific module (or modules) of the BSS solution (eg billing, CRM, charging, mediation, provisioning, ESB, etc) and deliver Solution Architecture Documents (SADs).
- He/she will be responsible for the correct identification of Business requirements and correct communication of those to the development team.
- He/she will ensure that the design of the system module architecture is robust and integrated seamlessly into existing networks and systems.
- He/she will ensure that the application architecture is designed with a high degree of modularity, scalability and interoperability with external system interfaces.
- He/she will ensure the application architecture, design and implementation conforms to the business and system requirements of the related module.
- He/she will be responsible for providing all internal and external documentation relating to the solution.
- He/she will be responsible for reviewing detailed design documents and interface agreements.
Essential knowledge/skills:
- Knowledge of the Multi vendor BSS solution is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of best industry practices in requirements gathering and solution architecture.
- Ability to manage workshops.
- Ability to manage and control expectations focusing on minimizing customisation.
- Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries, and operate successfully in an intense business environment.
- Ability to work with internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors. Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations.
- Ability to provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports.
- Ability to present technical information to audiences with a wide range of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of eTom and ITIL is desirable.
- Proven experience of business analysis and business process definition is highly desirable and could lead to consideration of a Business Analyst role.
Essential experience:
- Proven solution architecture experience within major BSS integration projects.
Essential qualification(s):
- Diploma, degree or above in a relevant technical discipline.
