THE COMPANY
ConSol Partners client is a global information technology company who are looking for a German speaking Technical Consultant to join the team with ServiceNow experience to work ITSM Platform Development project. The project will be based in Munich, Germany. This a very rewarding roll which will add to your existing impressive set of skills and experience.
THE ROLE
As a Technical Consultant (ServiceNow) at ConSol Partners client, you will be able to work both solely and as a team, You will have a passion for technology. The customer is operating and developing a platform for managing IT Services throughout the whole company. The platform consists of 5 different applications, where Service Now is the Front Stage for the customer. The scope of the project is to further develop the platform together with the Product Owner. The development is done by using Scrum methodology and working with user stories in 2-week long Sprints.
Your daily tasks will include the following:
- Conceptualize, design, code, and test ServiceNow solutions that deliver new system capabilities, system enhancements, or resolves defects
- Design and develop Enterprise Service Management solutions using ServiceNow
- Develop content management for ServiceNow solutions
- Support & maintain applications by proactively resolving issues and enhance application stability
- Standard ITSM development/support including incident, problem, change, requests (service catalog), release management, and knowledge management
- Participate in the development of business requirements ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and processes
- Assist with product roadmap & business capabilities that align with the application
- Continuously monitor application performance and vendor recommended patches & upgrades
- Collaborate with team members to improve the quality and scalability of supported systems and provide recommendations
- Partner with the business on exploring new opportunities to add value through the use of technology.
- Provide input for the continuous improvement of the testing process
- Provide input for the creation of test cases and test labs
- Participate in User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
- Identify possibility to automate the testing
- Participate as a team member in Scrum Meetings (Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review/Retro)
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 5+ years of experience as an application engineer; 7+ years of experience without a degree
- Previous ServiceNow development, configuration and administration experience in an enterprise environment
- Must have experience developing custom ServiceNow applications
- Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems with ServiceNow
- Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change/Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge, Release Management, etc.
- Experience working in and managing multiple update sets and coordinating their promotion throughout multiple instances
- Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features
- Experience with content management and familiarity with UI side of ServiceNow preferred
- Participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production
