Projekt- und Tätigkeitsbeschreibung:The candidate needs to have senior level and will be technically end2end responsible for the Open Systems Backup service as service manager.
This includes:
End2end responsibility for the Backup Service
Service design, development and releasemanagement for the Backup service
Controlling of service chain including the providers involved (mainly IBM)
SLA and KPI management
Continous service improvement
PreSales and consultancy and support in customer projects
Project Management for Backup service release projects
Skill-Anforderungen:
Profound experiences as a service manager, ideally for Backup Services
Servers & Software (Commvault & Windows & Linux) Skills
o Deep experience concerning setup and operations of Backup systems based on “Commvault Simpana”
o Basic knowledge concerning Windows & Red Hat Linux
o Knowledge concerning other open systems Backup products (eg IBM TSM/Spectrum Protect) would be benefitial
o Basic Knowledge concerning Active Directory / LDAP
o Enterprise environment skill (backup service 2000+ clients and/or 2+ PB capacity)
Storage Skills
o Knowledge about concepts and different technologies
o Experience with operations and analysis of storage environments (throughputs, hot spots, etc)
o Analysis of network attached storage throughput, load, capacity
Network Environment Skills
o TCP/IP incl. TCP/IP Dump analysis and basic network tools
o Network architecture (Segmentation and IP configuration of Subnets)
o Basic knowledge about networking and storage protocols like NFS, CIFS, GPFS/NSD
Fluent business English (additional German skills would be an advantage)
