Design Engineer - Aerospace - Contract 6- 8 Months - Germany
Aerospace engineers urgently required to join a team of highly specialised individuals, working for an internationally renowned service and maintenance facility in North East Germany.
Description:
The Candidate will work as part of a team to perform design tasks for maintenance and repairs on business jets and turboprops, as well as refitting, overhauling and special mission installations.
Essential Skills:
- Engineering education for the required technical subject (Dipl.-Ing., BC, MC) or comparable education.
- Minimum 5 years experience with aircraft structural design and analysis.
- Ability to work safely at heights (eg scaffolds, raised platforms, etc.)
- Ability to work in an industrial environment and wear the appropriate Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE). - Experience as DE (or equivalent) within an airworthiness design certification processes or
comparable background. - Experience with the application of EASA and/or FAA regulations and aviation law.
- Knowledge of the DOH and procedures described in the DOH.
- Demonstrated ability to self assess appropriate technical competency.
- Knowledge of technical and industry standards with regards to design, analysis and test
procedures. - Knowledge of systems engineering.
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to lead technical peer review processes and provide
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience with General Aviation (GA) aircraft types.
- Engineering software knowledge and experience (eg FEA, DTA, CAD, etc.)
- Experience with structural dynamics, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Experience with aircraft structural design.
- Experience with testing (static, fatigue, dynamic), including test design, specification,
conduct and interpretation. - Ability to work in a multi-cultural and international environment.
- Proficiency in English and German languages.
