For our client located in Dusseldorf we are currently looking for a BI Consultant/data mining expert.

Goal:
The department aims to gain more insight, increase quality, reduce risk and generate planning opportunities in regards to VAT. With increasing complexity of business transaction, the client needs to use "big data" in a smart way to be able to capture, manage and analyze data to drive business strategy and performance. Not only looking backwards to evaluating what happened in the past, but also to forward-looking scenario planning and predictive modelling.
Resources:
- IT department's BI-project which provides the needed ERP data and a tax data "cube"
- Analysis by financial auditor on VAT monitoring which includes 80 rule based reports
- Cooperation with universities to understand the technical background on process mining (= missing link between model-based process analysis and data-oriented analysis techniques)
- Cooperation with tax authorities and their working group "data mining" to understand their way forward
Deliverables:
- Project manager needs to coordinate between different internal and external partners and gather information to build a VAT smart data application. In the end, the client seeks the confrontation between event data (ie, observed behavior) and process models (hand-made or discovered automatically).
- Besides developing such application, the idea is to establish 1 FTE Global VAT Manager who will responsible for VAT smart data application for headquarters and 2 FTE in SSC "Tax process and project" team who shall be trained to support and further develop this application.
Responsibilities:
- Determining and analysing business processes, especially in regards to VAT
- Translate the client's Global Supply Chain operating model setup and configuration
- Understand O2C-, S2P-, R2R, IC-, VAT- processes and define tables/fields/relations
- Steer process mining knowledge and develop within application
- Consulting the internal and external partners
- Ensuring that topics are translated into a VAT smart data application
- Coordinating on findings that need to be aligned within the client (eg STP, OTC, RTR)
- Establishing a team of experts to ensure future development
- Implementing use of the application in daily routine
- Documenting the development of the application
Must have skills:
- SAP knowledge
- Data Minning knowledge
- Dutch knowhow and experience in working with the Dutch authorities
