Scientific Product Manager - Koln, DE - €65,000+Optimus Life Sciences are working with an industry leading Biotech company in the field of cellular biology hire a Scientific Product Manager. The position will be based on-site in Koln and function as part of the global commercial operations. Although the role does not require German speaking skills, this would be an advantage.
The position is to sit in the space between research & development and sales/marketing, working with both departments to maximise a growing portfolio of innovative products. Over the last few years; and continuing on into the next few, the Client have experienced an unprecedented period of growth - increasing their market share by over 300% since 2013.
The Client require applicants to come from a Biotech background, preferably within cellular/molecular biology. The position is very important to the company's growth and the board are hoping to have identified the future incumbent before the end of next month.

Responsibilities
- Liaise with R&D and Commercial departments to effectively devise commercial strategies based on market intelligence and information.
- Identify and talk with key stakeholders across the global market to gather necessary information in relation to product positioning and brand management.
- Work with colleagues to devise proper product management (pricing, naming, characterisation, marketing, etc.) for the company's portfolio and for new products coming to market.
- Planning of commercial strategy for product positioning and launch.
- Oversight of general commercial operations alongside the decision makers within the company.
- Management and leadership of scientific and commercial staff - mostly in a project capacity.
Requirements
- Master or PhD in Life Sciences (e.g. biology, biotechnology, molecular biology).
- Experience with Cellular Biology is highly preferable.
- 4+ years of product management, marketing or brand management within a biotech company.
- Fluency in English (German preferable).
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Willingness to travel.
