Beschreibung

For our client based in Frankfurt am Main area, we are looking for a Programme Planning Manager (m/f).

Purpose and Objectives:

As part of an organisational transformation programme, the client’s existing IT platforms will be
replaced by modern industry standard systems. The initiative is due to begin later in 2017 and is
currently being preceded by a proof of concept phase (planned through to April 2017) to validate
architectural viability.
In parallel to this, governance roles will be established to ensure professional planning, monitoring and
delivery of the entire programme.
As part of the governance team, the role of ‘Programme Planning Manager’ is to be filled as soon as
possible. This role will report to the Programme Manager.


The planning manager is responsible for the programme’s roadmap and sub-ordinated programme
plans. In this role, he/she develops, maintains and adjusts schedules and ensures alignment with budget and resource planning. He/she takes responsibilty for tracking and reporting progress and programme status



Aufgaben:

Planning
- Develop, maintain and adapt the programme roadmap and sub-schedules (high level plans, medium level plans)
- Identify programme milestones, decision points, cross-project dependencies and the critical paths and reflect these in the programme schedule
- Establish the planning approach and standards on programme level, in accordance with company standards
- Coordinate project estimation and planning activities across the programme
- Support project managers in aligning low level plans to medium and high level plans
- Ensure alignment with programme resource planning
- Identify and assess risk in the programme roadmap
- Preferred: Backup and work with the ‘Programme HR Manager’ (including e.g.: consolidation of resource demands, resource planning, acquisition and reporting)
- Preferred: Perform and support with generic programme office tasks, such as
    o Planning
    o Documentation / Reporting

Progress Monitoring & Control:
- Monitor progress against plan on programme level
- Track and get involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules
- Develop and deliver progress and status reporting for programme management and various stakeholder groups
- Communicate and present programme roadmap and sub-schedules to stakeholders
- Facilitate regular schedule reviews



Skills:

Education, Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a multi-project/programme planning function in large scale transformation programmes, preferably with an end-to-end software implementation focus
- Preferred: project mangement certification

Functional Experience with
- Development, maintenance and updating of complex and integrated master schedules (high level, medium level)
- Use and adaption of alternative project estimation techniques
- Schedule development in traditional (e.g. waterfall) and modern (agile) project environments
- Development of programme roadmaps, preferrably in a large organisational transformations
- Set-up, implementation and execution of programm-wide progress tracking and reporting (high level, medium level)
- Preferred: experience of industry or platform specific project delivery methods (e.g. ASAP from SAP)

Technical
- Very good skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Visio preferred
- Excellent Project Management toll knowledge
    o MS Project, preferably with Microsoft Project Blue Belt certification (MS Project 2010 or higher)
    o Atlassian stack
- Experience with agile project methodologies

Languages
- German: fluent (min. competence level C1 CEFR)
- English: fluent (min. competence level C1 CEFR)

- Focused and effective in problem solving
- Strong social competence and communicative skills
- Self-motivated, ability to pick up things quickly
- Ability and willingness to support changing needs during programme lifecycle
- Constructive and pro-active attitude in working with other programme governance roles, project managers and AirPlus line management
