Tangent International are urgently looking for a BSS Project Manager to work a 3 month rolling contract based in Germany (Dusseldorf)

Knowledge/Experience
- 10+ year experience in telecom Domain
- English is mandatory and German is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 previous projects in a similar role with at least a similar number on work streams and similar project duration for more than 2 similar international customers.
- Graduate Level Bachelor in technical area and minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role with experience in the following areas:
- In specific solutions: Telecommunication BSS and OSS IT Projects
- in International Matrix managed Project Teams, where the PM has no line management responsibility
- of specific techniques: PMP/PMI partitioning Professional or similar
- of specific exposures: having worked on the vendor site
- in taking over an exciting Project that has already started and progressed.

Soft Skills & Competences
- Build relationships inside and outside of Huawei, and at multiple levels. Meet commitments and build trust. Develop positive working relationships.
- Very strong communication skills toward the local team and customer.
- Strong experience in working with an international team of engineers of different culture background

Main Responsibilities:

- Conduct a thorough review of all components in the Project Plan: scope, deliverables, time frame, and cost. Verify that all parties are satisfied with the content.
Define project scope -
- Identify key stakeholders and their requirements.
- Define the business requirements to establish and maintain a common understanding with the Customer.
- Conduct interviews to understand needs and identify needs/requirements.
- Develop a formal scope document clearly defining the project scope s boundaries and content and the scope of services.
- Develop/maintain baseline project plans - Refine requirements with project/program stakeholders.
- Manage contractual instruments for the successful delivery of the products or services provided by the project.
- Manage project plan integration - Produce project plans used to manage and control project execution. Use project plan to ensure appropriate integration of all activities to meet objectives.
- Manage project quality - Identify the quality standards that are relevant to the project and determines how to satisfy them within a Quality Management Plan. Execute Quality Management Plan.
- Manage project scope - Apply knowledge of contractual project scope definition and identify both major and minor changes to scope. Use structured change management approach to identify potential scope changes with the customer. Analyze and discuss potential impacts to project plan. Negotiate scope changes with the customer as to impact of cost, schedule or quality.
- Manage project WBS and schedule - Define the specific activities that must be performed in order to produce the deliverables identified in the work breakdown structure in order that the project objectives will be met. Based upon activity relationships, develop project schedule and manage activities to schedule.

Manage risk -
- Proactively identify risks that may impact a successful project completion. Create and maintain a project risk log. Record and assure visibility of identified project risks.
- Create risk mitigation plans and assign responsibilities. Escalate risks when appropriate. Communicate risks, mitigation plans, and recommendations to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Monitor/report project status - Use a disciplined monitoring approach, earned-value-measurement process, and a structured approach to problem solving to accurately monitor and communicate current project status and progress and provide early warning and correction of variations from the plan to ensure achievement of objectives.
- Provide excellent customer service - Work to understand Customer needs and requirements and respond with foresight, thoroughness and dedication. Provide best-in-class services/products that meet requirements.
- Ensure all services and support efforts are coordinated with the customer as well as through all relevant departments within Huawei
- Verify incident tracking tickets contain complete status information, are up-to-date and resolved within a reasonable amount of time
- Serve a point of escalation for ongoing issue resolution involving deployed solutions
- Ensure all technical and support escalations are fully documented, tracked and resolved in a timely manner
