MRI Manserv AG is actively looking for a Project Manager Hosting / CMS for an international key client based in Zürich.Our client is about to embark a new project to consolidate the three web hosting systems to one system.
Project background / challenges / As-is
- Several Website Content Management Systems (CMS) using different platforms and technologies are in place, which are supported by different partners:
- Limited ability to have global services and standards and to effectively and economically manage and support the existing solutions.
- Communication content on the websites is not yet fully aligned across and websites and is embedded in different front end designs and brand identities.
Vision / Mission / To-be
- Achieve synergy effects by using and maintaining one single common solution for all public websites
- Implementation based on decisions considering the long-term vision to keep Drupal as the CMS for all public websites.
- Consistent web presence in terms of branding and messages to the visitors
- Pragmatic and (cost-) efficient setup to provide:
- a state of the art and therefore appropriate web presence
- an excellent service to highly demanding users
- Support the migration / recreation of all websites not yet running on Drupal taking into account new communication and brand messages and the current situation of the countries
- Set up a governance model with IT and Communication and also with the countries to ensure enhancements
Objectives / Benefits
- Have a state-of-the-art setup of Drupal and the underlying cloud architecture in place, which is agreed and approved by all stakeholders, allows migrating any websites anytime
- Selection of an implementation partner, which is able to deliver the requested and to be defined services for the migration itself and the support and maintenance afterwards within the expected time, budget and quality.
- Integration into standard IT service management processes
- Implementation of all brands templates
- Implementation of country specific add-ons/solutions (after prioritization) from which the whole group (or at least some other countries) can benefit from.
- Migration of 200+ websites to Drupal to ensure an outstanding and consistent user experience for all visitors
Project manager tasks
- support the internal project manager
- talk to the different stakeholders (IT infrastructure, corporate communications, external partners...) to drive the project
- track the project time line and cost
- support project and project management documentation
The project manager should
- be able to manage a project remotely (work location will be in Zürich, travelling to other sites required, but most of the meetings via video conference)
- know Drupal content management system
- be familiar with RFP processes to select implementation and support partner
- be experienced in web consolidation projects
- used to work with offshore companies
Engagement from mid of August/beginning September for about 12 month, maybe longer
To ensure the best possible project outcome our client wants to engage an external project manager who has best practise experience in web hosting /content management systems.

Location: Zürich + remote + willingness to travel
Rate: Market rates
Language: English (other languages are a bonus)
