PROJECT MANAGER - GERMANY

Experience & Requirements:
Technical
• Responsible for the completed efforts and overall direction of the development team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Initiates and assigns projects, system enhancements, and production support within the development team.
• Reviews the client needs against the Company’s objectives, and balances client satisfaction with company directives.
• In consultations with the project leader(s), determines project requirements and ensures the team is focused on the set objectives.
• Attends user meetings and conducts on-site client meetings.
• Makes pricing recommendations based on market value and Company objectives.
• Maintains frequent interaction with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Responsible for ensuring that development and research needs are met while allowing a profit margin for the Company.
• Provides input to policy level directions regarding standards, budget constraints, etc.
• Responsible for revenue/expenses within the operating unit, and for meeting budget goals and objectives.
• Responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of direct reports in area of specialty; and mentoring, coordinating, planning, and providing direction for work group(s) in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable legal requirements.
• Act as a guide and strategic partner to customers by becoming intimately knowledgeable about their key business challenges
• Ensure that the Delivery Process and Engagement Model are followed for their accounts
• Be the final point of accountability for the delivery of solutions
• Become a trusted advisor to the customer and a reliable focal point for business and systems issues
• Be accountable for day-to-day operations and resolving major issues with the customer
• Maintain standards of business conduct with respect to the customers and partners
• Fully understand the customer's business challenges, culture, and environment, specifically market trends, future technology, competition, and partners that may affect the customer's business
• Act as a guide and strategic partner to customers by becoming intimately knowledgeable about their key business challenges Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrable ability to work effectively in complex client environments
• Must have experience in a Client facing role, of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle and of working with developers based both locally and offshore; experience of working client side would be a bonus
• Excellent communication skills inclusive of the ability to discuss and explain complex technical and planning topic
Knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of data migration and system integration methodologies
• Excellent oral presentation and written communications skills
• Outstanding time management skills
• UK Telecommunications industry
• Extensive exposure to OSS projects (some BSS experience an additional bonus)
• Expert knowledge of typical Project and software delivery lifecycle
• Native or fluent German and English language as principal business communication language
Personal
• Business-like presence and ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers at all organizational levels, including Director, VP and CxO levels.
• Ability to travel for varying periods of time to customers in UK and elsewhere
