Program Director

Position: Program Director
Location: Germany or Netherlands or Poland or Austria
Duration: To be confirmed – extendable contracts

Essential skills & experience
• 10+ years international experience, from within the Telco/Systems Integration Industry (consulting or Systems Integration) on driving IT SI transformation programs or projects of high complexity
• Proven experience in BSS and/or Cloud and/or TV/Media Broadcast domain.
• Proven track record in leading IT type of Integration Engagements, at least 10-15 years of experience from leading complex SI-Projects/Programs.
• Well proven, excellent ability to transform customer requirements and expectations at a high level into a solution draft that client’s can realize as a customer engagement.
• Able to build a strong Customer Relationship at C-Level (IT, Engineering, Marketing, Finance etc.).
• Deep experience of leading teams of more than 20 people in a multicultural environment and with an off-shore/on-site delivery model.
• Demonstrable skills and experience in one or more of the following domains:
o BSS Transformation, CRM, Revenue Management, Business Intelligence
• Willing to help and coach his / her team; to interact with them and to support them for the professional growth. She/He has experience in asset development and/or organization set-up and growth.
• Deep exposure on solution shaping and in sales activities (Statement of Work, estimation tools, contractual negotiation, scope refinement), as well as scope and change request management.

Job Purpose
The Consulting & Systems Integration Program Director drives large and complex Professional Services engagements towards the client’s customers whilst providing thought leadership and expertise in the areas of services revenue growth and margin improvement.

The Program Director supports the Engagement Manager and the Key Account Manager with extensive telecom and Services knowledge.

During Solutioning phase, the Program Director will head a team responsible for
• Overall solution;
• Overall scope, responsibilities, effort estimation & risk mitigation
• Delivery model (mix of on-shore, near-shore and off-shore resources)
• Contractual content (excluding legal and commercial T’s & C’s)

During contract execution, the Program Director will be the head of the delivery, until the complete fulfillment of the contract, whilst actively seeking to improve top and bottom lines with due consideration to customer satisfaction and the client’s business objectives.

Responsibilities
• Take the overall Customer Solution Responsible (CSR) and Customer Contract Fulfilment (CFR) in large and complex customer business engagements.
• Translate, analyse and define customer requirements
• Drive the definition, dimensioning & scoping of the total customer solution with the assigned solution team.
• Ensure alignment of the Customer Solution with the client’s portfolio strategy.
• Drive the scope definition, cost calculation and planning for different players, e.g. internal, 3PP’s or Consultants
• Set-up, lead and deliver the program as defined in the Program Specification, taking responsibility for contract execution, strategy and risk exposure including negotiation with the customer, internal and/or external suppliers and contractors.
• Manage operational relationship with the customer to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
• Manage contract changes and/or amendments during the contract execution
• Secure delivery compliance to both contractual and business case requirements
• Identify and drive potential sales opportunities / add-on sales
• Act as a Coach to develop own program team to support them for professional growth and by identifying and developing talent.
• Support asset and organizational set-up and growth
• Contribute to the growth of a Professional Services culture in the client
• Fine tune the delivery methodology and harvest best practices for reuse on other projects / programs.

Desirable Qualifications and experience
• Qualified to degree level with recognised Project Management certification
• Able to be relocated in any country within Region West & Central Europe or globally as the need arises.
• The role is expected to require extended travel, long term assignment and a full time presence on the project she/he is responsible for.
