On behalf of our client, an international consulting company located in Germany, we are currently looking for a “Launch- and Construction Manager” for a project in the industrial sector of Mechanical engineering in North Carolina/USA.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Interim Manager on Senior Level with the appropriate expertise:
You have several years of project leadership management and/or management experience from accompanying the construction of new production halls and of production ramp-ups. Additional you have proven expertise in the following topics:
• Management of construction projects
• Launch management
• Ramp-up management up to the SOP
• Supplier management
• Machine procurement
• Machine installation
• Prototyping
• Zero series
• Ramping up production on the line
• Welding technologies
• Punching technologies
• Press technologies
• Assembly
Ideally, you have five years’ experience in project management of launch and construction in industry and/or in management and you have a degree in Mechanical Engineer or similar. You are also characterized by your goal-oriented and efficient way of working, your solution-oriented communication skills and your "hands-on mentality".
Your tasks and responsibilities in detail:
• Schedule and cost management for production ramp-up and construction
• Accompaniment of the tender for the machines
• Procurement of the machines
• Ensuring the process capability of production equipment
• Ensuring the availability of all necessary tools and devices
• Ensuring the production ramp-up and the achievement of the planned Start of Production (SOP) dates
• Autonomous management of the project
• Direct reporting to the executive director on-site
An absolute "must" for working on this project is the mastery of the English language. Speaking additional German would be perfect but is not a requirement.
The project starts at July 2022. The project is expected to last probably 3 years. Your capacity utilization is 5 days per week.
