UCMDB Engineer - contract

MHC are an award-winning IT and Business Consultancy, specialising in Change Management initiatives, which we deliver working in a collaborative way with our Clients. We are currently working on a wide variety of assignments that include some major Digital Transformation initiatives, Regulatory and Compliance Programmes and Tools adoption projects where we are providing specialist technical and business services to a client base of primarily Tier 1 Banks.
You will have the confidence and the capability to step straight into a specialist consultancy role within one of MHC's Practice areas to provide effective and efficient solutions that support our Clients' business requirements, while working constructively with senior MHC and Client managers and other staff.
UCMDB Engineer
They sh ould have 8 + years' experience.
They should be:

A multi skilled engineer with experience in multiple disciplines with the ability to adapt to suit different technology needs - both application software and code development

Specific technologies required

Oracle PL/SQL

Python

Specific technologies of benefit

Microsoft SQL

Proficient in developing 3rd party and OOTB integrations in UCMDB with other systems

Proficient i n creating TQLs, Enrichments and Reports in UCMDB application.

Capable of quickly translating requirements in to code or application configuration
-
Have experience of performing testing and deployment
-
Have demonstrated experience of writing SQL queries for data analysis and investigation
-
Have high motivation and self-starter skills and must be able to work without direct supervision and guidance

Used to delivering at pace in an agile methodology
-
Demonstrate strong time management, ability to work under pressure and priority management skills

Have a willingness to learn and work in new business areas
-
Have proven problem solving and investigation skills, with the ability to provide solutions
Working under the guidance of the project leaders and engineering managers, the individual will undertake the following:

Interpreting requirements and translating in to solutions
-
Writing code or configuring code/applications based on business requirements and logic to manage, on premise Assets, Public Cloud Assets and or Appli cation Software Technology data, including normalisation of data

Undertake data analysis and extraction using SQL as part of the development of an appropriate solution to business requirements and logic to manage on premise Asse ts, Public Cloud and or Application Software Technology data

Take ownership of development and configurations ensuring they are fully documented and knowledge transfer performed to colleagues as directed
