Software Engineer - Remote/1 Day p/wk onsite in Dresden - 12mths+
My clients project has a focus on audio and radio system solutions on System-On-Chip. In order to validate the software-based radio processing on automotive quality level, they are using a proprietary Java based test framework.
They are looking to recruit an engineer on a long term contract basis. The work can be performed 80% remote with an presence required onsite 1 day p/wk (some flexibility with this arrangement may be possible).
The role can be described as follows:
Role Responsibilities:
- Review of test case specification
- Implementation of test cases
- Execution of test plan
- Evaluation of test results
- Report of deviations
- Provide analysis information in collaboration with development department
- Validation of product modifications
- Contribute to product documentation
- Use and extend existing test bench based on Java
Skills/Experience:
- Programming skills: Java >5 years
- Knowledge of Git as SCM system
- Knowledge of agile techniques (SAFe)
- Knowledge of pull request workflow using Bitbucket
- Knowledge of Jira issue management
- Able to read/understand a mobile communication standard (eg LTE, DAB, HD Radio, WLAN)
- Understanding of test framework (trace tools, test/measurement equipment, test specification/requirements/methodology)
Nice To Have
- Digital radio domain knowledge (DAB)
- Experience with Maven
- Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE
- Experience with TestLink (Test management tool)
- NoSQL knowledge (Couchbase database)
