Build Project Manager (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- BPM will focus on designing and implementing an operational plan for the project €)
- We seek a detail-oriented, multifaceted professional who will prepare designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of this project.
- Develop project schedules by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
- Develop project budget.
- Review status of the project, budget and schedule, and prepare status reports and recommend appropriate actions.
- Resolve operational problems and minimize delays
- Develop the project scope based on industry leading knowledge of build project management practices, strategies and procedures and capital effectiveness best practices Monitor and prepare requests for quotations for engineering disciplines together with the engineering lead
- Approve the technical requisitions, together with project team
- Ensure the project is planned and executed in compliance with laws and regulations
- Prepare the plan for how the build project is executed, monitored and controlled and works with the local and business project manager to develop the integrated project plan for the project
- Monitor and ensure progress and performance to meet the project plan goals.
- Ensure successful completion and closure of all technical aspects of the build project.
- Lead the build project team
- Ensure the proper communication and alignment of the technical project team members.
- Work with and manages engineering firms across a large number of engineering disciplines
Main qualifications
- Master degree in science (Civil, Mechanical, Chemistry, Electrical, …) or similar through experience
- Experience in Engineering & Construction environments
- Worked already 2 times as a Build project Manager or Engineering Lead in projects (> 15 mln$), successfully
- Worked already 1 time as Build project Manager or Engineering Lead in a brownfield project (> 15 mln$), successfully.
- Proved in those previously executed projects that he / she can easily coop with project-complexity and has the managerial skills to lead a group of engineers and contractors (intern / extern) smoothly through the whole life-cycle of a project.
- Proven knowledge of Portfolio and Project Management process for build projects
- Demonstrated already in previous projects (maybe not yet as a Build Project Manager) that he / she: easily teams-up with multifunctional teams and can build and leverage relationships across multiple functions and businesses to maximize team performance and achieve project objectives.
- Ability to leverage Environmental, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Affairs experts to plan and execute the project to comply with the laws of the country for the project
- Ability to apply project controls best practices to improve the predictability and effectiveness of the project's cost and schedule (work breakdown structure, cost estimating methods & validation, project execution planning, and cost & schedule control during execution)
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience effectively managing an engineering firm, particularly scoping and managing the work of third party engineering and related consulting companies
- Ability to leverage and apply best practices (document management, construction management techniques & strategies, risk analysis techniques & control methods, quality assurance & inspections)
- Completed Build Project Manager Academy courses or relevant previous project experience
- Completed Construction Safety course
- Fluent in English and German (both verbal and writing)
- Able to work in an international environment and a multicultural team
