Description:In preparation of the implementation of a Global Finance/ERP (FIN/ERP) system for a large international media house, we are looking for the support of a Solution Architect. This role will be a temporary position for the FIN/ERP designing phase that is planned to start on short term. At the same time, we envisage extending the period of cooperation after the design phase even to a permanent role.
Initially, this role will focus on data collection and analysis of the existing technology landscape in each country (13), with next steps focused on designing future system capabilities and migrating to a new global FIN/ERP solution.
The current technology landscape is very diverse and highly individualized per country. The maturity of the technology landscape strongly differs per country. Some countries use integrated ERP systems in numerous areas of their business, but there are also entities that use niche financial and accounting solutions to record basic business operations.
The main activities will be:
·Create a consistent and complete insight in the current technology landscape for financial and business processes in the individual countries
oall systems running in the context of FIN/ERP
oall standard templates (excel/word) used to support business process
·Create insight in the dependencies of the technology landscape for business processes
oEnvironment diagrams of the systems per country with their interfaces
oData flow diagrams describing the direction, frequency and extent of data exchange between current systems
oInsight in the dependencies of standard templates with the corresponding applications
·Participate in the design of the target landscape systems including global, target FIN/ERP
·Mapping of functionality of the existing landscape to the designed functionality of new FIN/ERP system
·Support in defining design principles and establishing the major project tech constraints
·Support in agreeing on target FIN/ERP system’s selection criteria and confirm in-scope processes
·Support RFP process including gathering and scoring responses,
·Initial transformation and decommissioning approaches for systems running in the current technology landscape
·Preparing the expected data structure and data governance rules for the target FIN/ERP system
·Creation of basic insight of the data quality in the individual systems and potential challenges for data migration to new FIN/ERP system.
Expected deliverables from the activities:
·Documented inventory of the FIN/ERP systems and standard templates for all countries
·Assessment survey designed to capture systems used, system integrations, processes system costs
·Environment diagram of the running FIN/ERP systems per country and their interfaces
oInsight in the dependencies of standard templates with fin. applications shall be includes
oData Flow Diagrams
·Documented functionality mapping of the existing landscape to the to-be Fin/ERP systems
·Described transformation and decommissioning approaches for the systems in the current technology landscape
·Documented assessment of the data that is available in the existing systems
oData structure documentation
oMapping of the existing data to the to-be landscape in target Fin/ERP
oInitial assessment of the data quality in the existing systems
oInitial identification of challenges for data migration for the individual systems
What we expect:
·Successful academic background in computer science or related discipline
·Preferred knowledge of finance, controlling, process analysis and media environment
·Ability to operate across both waterfall and agile delivery environments
·An experienced solution architect (at least 5 years experience)
·Experience in big ERP transformation programs centralizing fragmented technology landscapes
·Experienced working in finance or ERP environments, specifically with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft technology
·Experienced in the use of architectural platforms like LeanIX
·Languages: English required, German and/or Polish language would be beneficial
