API Developer (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- We are searching an API Developer for the conceptual creation and implementation of a central REST API layer for our platform called "iPen"
- This will be done in Java and containes conceptual API tasks (e.g. API structure, requirement analysis, ...) as well as the implementation itself. We will host the APIs in a Kubernetes cluster based on Azure Cloud
- The Information Platform of Energy Networks (iPEN) is a central element of our digitization strategy "Energy Networks Big Picture Digital". It is the necessary bridge between the transactional database and the intelligent customer solutions
- The aim is for us to use iPEN to accelerate its solution development, increase its range of solutions for customers, and enhance its partner capability. What is special about the iPEN program is that the intelligent solutions are developed jointly by lead regional companies and can then be scaled cost-effectively, quickly and flexibly across all our regional companies through the newly created platform
Main qualifications
- Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Experience in Java Development
- Experience with Spring Boot Ecosystem
- Experience with Microservice Architecture Principles and its development
- Experience with cloud based projects
- Experience in designing and implementing maintainable software architecture
- Experience with agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban …)
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
- Experience with data access to relational and no-sql databases
- Experience with API documentation standards (e.g. Swagger, RAML, …)
- Experience with CI/CD Tools (Git GitLab, Maven, SonarQube…)
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
