Head of IT Governance - English Speaking - Berlin, Germany. Start Date: 2nd August month+ contract role. Up to 50% Remote Working (work from home). End Client!
Our global industrial customer in Berlin, Germany is looking to hire an experienced Head of IT Governance, with a proven background in information security within modern agile cloud based architecture and development environments, as well as very strong communication and relationship skills, to design and manger the global IT Governance Team on a freelance basis.
Responsibilities:
. Technical and personnel management of the IT governance team (7 employees), including cost centre management
. Technical control of IT service management
. Process responsibility for incident management and service request management; development and control of further service processes
. Application responsibility and administration of the global service management tool
. Technical management (process definition, SLA's, status reporting) of 1st level support (global team is currently being set up)
. Establishment and control of global licence management (risk reduction, managing licenses and subscriptions)
. Managing the global architecture board
. Support and coordination of the IT department with regard to control topics, eg:
- Audit support and follow-up
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (eg SOX, GDPR)
- Development of new specifications and guidelines
Skills and competences needed:
. 5+ years of information security experience in a regulated industry and multidisciplinary experience in risk and program management
. Strong communication skills: you know how to explain the complete nature of security and privacy risks
. Solution driven and pragmatic mindset: you find practical future-proof solutions which work for your stakeholders
. Great relationship building skills: you build trust and understanding between all levels of a business units including the central security and compliance teams
. Very good expertise in IT processes (ITIL)
. Leadership, analytical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, resilience, creativity
