Beschreibung

Portfolio Delivery Manager urgently required for our Central Government, Nottingham based client on a 6 month initial contract + possible extensions.

You will be responsible for;
  • Lead the delivery of projects and programmes including operational management of internal and external personnel and teams depending on specific projects being delivered.
  • Support the designated Sub-Portfolio Manager and executive owner to ensure prioritisation and implementation of initiatives is aligned with the Strategic Objectives of the organisation.
  • Manage the production of business cases and review by key stakeholder groups including commercial, finance, architecture, strategy, IT operations and IT security prior to submission to sub-portfolio steering group and (where required) the Portfolio Review Group for consideration and approval.
  • Ensure that all projects and programmes within the sub-portfolio are effectively planned, managed, delivered and closed. This includes leading the gathering of business requirements; preparation of plans; management of budgets; direction of project delivery teams (both directly managed and through 3rd party providers); regular reporting on progress; effective management of project related risks and issues; working collaboratively with other Delivery Managers and Sub-Portfolio Managers to manage dependencies between projects; overseeing the transition to operations and live service; managing the implementation, training and change management required; and, leading project close, reviews and lessons learnt.
  • In conjunction with the other (portfolio) Delivery Managers, manage the coordination and balancing of change and transformation activities being requested of the key service delivery partner organisations, as well as balancing the impact and timing of change being implemented on functions and colleagues across NHS Supply Chain, its customers and its suppliers.


Essential Skills/ Experience:
  • Significant experience in managing transformation programmes and projects
  • Expert in scoping and priority setting for large or complex changes and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Line management experience of programme and project delivery teams
  • Excellent understanding of programme and project management processes as per MSP / Prince 2 or equivalent standard
  • Strong experience with formal portfolio, programme and project management methodologies and related tools
  • Prior experience in performing and managing change programmes and projects at all levels from business analysis and requirement gathering through to execution and post live evaluation
  • Superior client facing skills, verbal and writing communication skills and ability to communicate with non-technical teams
