Looking for a new project?Our client in medical industry is currently looking for a Sourcing Leader (m/f/d) ? New Product Introduction near Rudolstadt.
- Lead Sourcing partner for NPI Teams jointly accountable for delivering products on time at the right cost
- Drive the collaboration with R&D, Marketing, and Category Management to assemble technology requirements and Roadmaps and work to ensure a Supply Base is in place with Technologies required to facilitate the NPI Pipeline
- Own the generation and negotiation of Development, Technology, and Confidentiality agreements
- In conjunction with R&D Engineering, facilitate Design for Manufacturing and Product Tear Down/Design sessions with appropriate Suppliers to generate and leverage material cost reduction ideas into new product designs
- Utilize Should Cost models to benchmark, analyze, and reduce the Costed Bill of Materials quoted by Suppliers
- Drive selection of Preferred Suppliers for raw materials, components, and services in NPI in a manner consistent with Global Strategies and that drives Supply Base consolidation
- Develop, align, and communicate Supply Chain Maps for Products with risk analysis and mitigation plans in place
Languages: German and English fluently (must have)
Location: Near Rudolstadt
Duration: asap for 6 months (option on extension)
Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering
- Longterm years of Strategic Sourcing experience with direct material components, contract purchased finished products and sub-assemblies
- Experience in supporting New Product Introduction teams in a mechanical or electrical engineering or Program Management role that maximized preferred supplier utilization and design for best cost
- Experience working in ERP systems like SAP is preferred
- Regulated industry experience is preferred and Medical Device industry experienced is highly desired
- Specific experience developing and utilizing make/ buy, should cost, and Total Cost of ownership models
- Supply management professional designation (CPM, CPSM, or Equivalent) preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and sourcing for Metal Forming, Machining, Injection Molding, and Electromechanical motors and actuated structures
- Demonstrated leadership and influence skills that alignment and decisions in matrix Environments
- Proven ability to interpret and understand integrated business plans and supporting manufacturing financial models in terms of Labor, Material, and Overhead drivers for products
- Strong communication skills in both English and German languages
