Executive Summary:A global integrator of communications products and services is looking for an experienced is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect whose main mission is to analyse various IT infrastructure and application estates.
The location for this opportunity is based just outside of London and the salary range is from £95,000 - £105,000.
Responsibilities:
- Assist sales representatives in the IT sales / pre-sales phase, and drive the sale of IT consulting services.
- Analyse the impacts and benefits of transforming customer legacy IT towards the Cloud
- Design, architect and propose new architectures for customer applications and services
- Develop transition and transformation plans for customer IT application and data migration.
- Create solid proposals for managed IT services complying with all customer needs. Drive application transformation and help customers adopt cloud native architectures and DevOps methodologies.
What will you be doing:
- Provide strategic guidance to clients in the following key domains:
- Application architecture.
- Cloud delivery methodologies.
- Cloud native constructs, including Containerisation, Micro-Services and Server-less architectures.
- Cloud architecture and multi-cloud solution
- Design, architect and propose new architectures for customer applications and services
- Actively contribute to the solutions portfolio by providing technical knowledge and methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects.
- Study the eligibility of applications for the cloud (business, technical and security) and propose suitable target services and cloud models.
Essentials Skills:
- Extensive IT consulting skills and ability to drive IT transformation opportunities - including sales and pre-sales skills.
- Possess both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer's business problem to an end-to-end technology solution.
- Experience of application development processes, DevOps methodologies and programmatic constructs including: APIs, scripting and codifying infrastructure.
- Expert knowledge on Cloud Delivery methodologies including: IaaS, PaaS, CaaS and SaaS.
- Experience of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions and services across the AWS/Azure portfolio.
You will be required to travel 25% of the time while working with my Client and this capability can extend to Europe.
