Head of Data & Technology PMO urgently required for our London based client on an initial 6 month contract + extensions.We are looking for an experienced PMO Lead/ Head of PMO with track record of supporting a full technology project lifecycles. The role requires supporting delivery of NHSI's commitments to the Technology enabled portfolio and overseeing of the external delivery partner's performance. You will work in partnership with third party suppliers, engaging with the Technology and Data senior leadership team, ensuring their involvement in key decisions and activities that impact their areas of responsibility. You will also work with the department's finance business partner to facilitate the financial management of the programme. You will also work with other departments PMO to support the Technology Portfolio governance processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the support of complex technology driven programmes, incorporating organisational wide inputs. You will also have at least 5 years of leading and managing small to medium sized (up to 10 people) internal teams to be successful and motivated. You will have experience of supporting multiple projects with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies. You will have the ability to present analysis, information, risks issues and reporting in a clear and logical way. Having the ability to maintain programme plans, integrating multiple, complex technical projects that impact multiple directorates and teams is also essential. You will have experience of working with multiple stakeholders with sometimes opposing objectives to gain consensus.
This role may involve travel to one or more regional offices such as Taunton, Leeds, Manchester, Derby, Birmingham, to name a few.
