Project Duration: February 2026 – June 2029
Location: Verdal, Norway
Engagement: Full-time (100% on-site presence required)
Contract Type: Freelance / Time & Material basis
Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Inspector for the supervision of two offshore jacket foundations being manufactured in Verdal, Norway. This long-term freelance engagement is part of a major offshore wind infrastructure project.
Responsibilities:
On-site supervision of fabrication and assembly of two Jackets (offshore substation platforms)
Perform inspections in accordance with ITP
100% coverage of Witness/Hold Points
25% Monitoring/Review Points
Welding and mechanical assembly surveillance
Supervision during installation, commissioning, and functional testing (e.g., grout/gripper systems)
On-site document and as-built reviews
Participation in alignment meetings and safety walks
Reporting anomalies and risks to the technical lead/project management
Contribution to lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
Support with local regulatory knowledge (technical, commercial, HSE, and country-specific requirements)
Documentation and reporting via project software tools (e.g., Dalux)
Preparation of weekly progress reports, site punch lists, and final summary reports
HSE reporting and non-conformity documentation
Expected Deliverables:
Inspection Reports: Upload within 36 hours of activity
Weekly Progress Report: Due every Monday COB
Timesheet Submission: By the 3rd day of the following month
Invoice Submission: Within 5 days of timesheet approval
Final Reports: Per plant, unit, and equipment line
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in offshore fabrication/site inspection
Strong background in welding and assembly supervision
Knowledge of international standards and QA/QC practices
Familiarity with offshore HSE regulations
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Ability to work independently and escalate issues when required
Availability to be 100% on-site during the project phases
Optional:
Knowledge of Norwegian or German regulations is an advantage
Previous experience with similar offshore wind or infrastructure projects
