For one of our clients in the energy sector, we are looking for a freelance Strategic Supplier Governance Consultant

Supplier Segmentation and Review
Project Description:
The new Energy Asset Supplier Strategy department is being established to maximize the value of the client's Energy Assets through improved strategic supplier engagement—this includes contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and relationship development. The department will design and implement new structures, processes, and tools to ensure all internal and external customer needs are met in a lean and cost-efficient way.
Task Description:
The scope of services includes the following tasks, to be performed independently:
As-Is Analysis of Stakeholder Interactions:
Evaluate the current state of communication between departments and strategic suppliers, based on a stakeholder list provided by the client.
Identify which departments and roles engage with top strategic suppliers and in what context.
Propose a new structure for strategic and tactical meetings with key suppliers, detailing participant roles and communication flows.
Document findings and submit a formal proposal for approval.
Consulting Support to Department Head:
Provide expert consultation to the Head of the Energy Asset Supplier Strategy department during the design of the new structure, processes, and offerings.
Share industry best practices and formulate a proposed setup based on previous analysis and professional expertise.
Design of an Information Repository:
Develop a concept for a centralized repository containing all relevant data and documents on top strategic suppliers.
Define what information should be shared and with whom, leveraging professional judgment and experience.
Final Deliverables:
Submit documentation and formal proposals for sign-off and subsequent implementation by the client.
Note:
The consultant will be clearly presented as an external resource of the client when interacting with third parties. All necessary data, systems access, and project requirements will be provided by the client in advance.
