Beschreibung
The client is implementing a Greenfield SAP RISE/S/4HANA environment and requires independent expertise to assess and define a fit-for-purpose solution for recording and invoicing billable additional services. The assignment focuses on evaluating transaction IW41 and relevant alternatives, with explicit consideration of future integration into SAP Service and Field Service Management (FSM/FSA).
Responsibilities
- Assess and define a solution for recording and invoicing additional services, with particular consideration of integration and usability within SAP Service and FSM/FSA processes, and validate whether IW41 can adequately support the required functionality.
Task 1: Current State Analysis & Requirements Documentation
- Analyse the existing approach to capturing billable additional services, including current CATS usage and the proposed IW41 transaction, and document business and functional requirements covering future-state alignment with SAP Service and FSM/FSA.
- Deliverable: Requirements document covering current-state gaps, business needs per affected area, and functional requirements for the target solution, explicitly distinguishing salary-related recording, which is HR-mapped and out of scope, from billable service invoicing.
- Acceptance criteria: The document addresses all identified business areas, cleanly separates HR-mapped elements from the billable service scope, and captures FSM/FSA future-state requirements. The document must be acknowledged by the client project lead.
- SLA: Delivered within 1 business day of the engagement start.
Task 2: Solution Assessment, IW41 versus Alternatives
- Evaluate whether IW41 and relevant alternatives within SAP Service and/or FSM/FSA adequately support the recording and invoicing of additional services, including usability and integration fit against the defined requirements.
- Deliverable: Solution assessment report comparing IW41 with at least one alternative approach, including a structured analysis of functional fit, identified gaps, and integration feasibility within the SAP Service/FSM/FSA landscape.
- Acceptance criteria: The report maps IW41 against all requirements documented in Task 1, includes at least one alternative scenario, and provides a clear recommendation with supporting rationale. The report must be accepted by the client project lead.
- SLA: Delivered within 2 business days following completion of Task 1.
Task 3: Solution Design & Recommendation
- Define the recommended end-to-end solution for recording and invoicing billable additional services, ensuring compatibility with the SAP Service and FSM/FSA roadmap.
- Deliverable: Solution design document outlining the recommended approach, configuration scope, integration touchpoints, and implementation guidance.
- Acceptance criteria: The design addresses all requirements from Task 1, explicitly validates or refutes IW41 as the preferred approach, and provides actionable next steps for implementation. The design must be accepted by the client project lead.
- SLA: Delivered within 3 business days following completion of Task 2.
- Coordinate communication related to clarification of requirements, validation of deliverables, provision of required information, and review of submitted work products with the designated client contact person and relevant project stakeholders where required.
- Perform the work independently with respect to method, manner, timing, sequence, and location. No instructions or supervision regarding the method or manner of performing the work will be provided.
- Deliver the outcome-based engagement through the specified configuration, assessment, design, integration, testing, and documentation deliverables.
Qualifications
- Senior Consultant level with a minimum of 3 to 6 years of SAP experience.
- English language skills.
- Ability to analyse the current use of CATS and the proposed use of IW41 for recording billable additional services.
- Ability to assess functional fit, gaps, usability, and integration feasibility in SAP Service and FSM/FSA processes.
- Ability to define an end-to-end solution, configuration scope, integration touchpoints, and implementation guidance.
- The worker remains fully independent in the method, manner, and timing of execution throughout the engagement.

- Estimated hours: 40 hours total; 8 hours per day and 8 hours per week
