Senior SAP MDG-M / MM Senior Functional Consultant (m/f/d) – remote

Join our global team in driving large-scale S/4HANA transformations for a leading international group. We are looking for an experienced and passionate SAP MDG-M specialist to design and deliver innovative Master Data Governance solutions that shape the digital backbone of global enterprises.

In this role, you will collaborate with diverse, cross-cultural teams worldwide, turning complex business requirements into reliable, scalable, and future-ready technical solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  1. Drive the design and implementation of highly automated global material master management processes around S/4HANA MDG-M focused on one of the following material types:
  2. Engineering materials with automated replication and extension from PLM Teamcenter
  3. Procurement materials with automated replication and extension from procurement portals and catalogues
  4. Spare part materials applying EAM and Utopia
  5. Identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
  6. Facilitate workshops to collect business and technology requirements, solution validation workshops
  7. Design and implement changes on material maintenance processes, data model, data quality, UI, integration and reporting
  8. Design approval processes for material creation, change, and deletion (single and mass), including BRF+ decision table setup for corresponding workflows
  9. Ensure that the development, configuration, integration, testing and data migration is done by different worldwide support teams end-to-end in time
  10. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.
  11. Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyses, and solve problems.
  12. Oversee changes or emergency transports.
  13. Ensure functional designs, test cases and results.
  14. Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
  15. Ensure ad-hoc training and user support as required
  16. Produce and review estimates for customer’s requirements related to RFPs, RFQs for new implementations and enhancements.


Skills:
  1. Strong end-to-end understanding of logistics processes in discrete manufacturing
  2. Proven experience in business requirement management and solution design for MDG Material Master in global implementation projects
  3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP MM and at least 3 years in SAP MDG-M
  4. Solid knowledge of MDG data modelling and process modelling, applied to logistics processes with exposure to one or more adjacent areas:
  5. PLM and BOM structures
  6. Procurement Portals, catalogues
  7. Spare Parts, Maintenance, EAM
  8. Experience with data replication technologies (SOA services, ALE/IDocs, DRF+); experience with eQube and SAP AIF is desirable
  9. Experience with data import/migration, duplicate checks and consolidation across multiple SAP and non SAP systems for Material Master
  10. Familiarity with MDG UI frameworks including Fiori
  11. Knowledge of BRF+ is a plus.
  12. Knowledge of SAP MDG basis related infrastructure activities is a plus.
  13. Business fluent English, German is a plus but not required
  14. Ability to work effectively in an international, remote team environment
  15. Results-oriented with a “can-do” attitude: adaptable, flexible and resourceful
