Overview:
Our client is embarking on a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation and is preparing for the Integration Testing and UAT phases scheduled between January and April 2026.
They are seeking an experienced SAP Test Manager to take ownership of the testing workstream — building structure, governance, and capability across the business and project teams. This is not a hands-on test execution role; the focus is on strategy, coordination, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the overall testing strategy and framework for the S/4HANA implementation.
- Coach and guide internal testers and key users on testing best practices and efficient execution.
- Develop a testing roadmap that focuses on new functionality and ensures comprehensive coverage of untested areas.
- Track, manage, and report on testing progress, escalating issues where necessary.
- Establish test scope and procedures (not yet defined) and drive structure into the testing process.
- Advise the client on fit-for-purpose test management approaches — avoiding unnecessary tools or complexity.
- Act as a people-oriented leader, coordinating across key users, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Technical Environment:
- No dedicated testing tool currently in use.
- Testing activities to date have been managed with Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP Signavio.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience managing SAP rollout testing and implementing pragmatic testing structures in similar environments.
Engagement Details:
- Start: Early November 2025
- Testing Phases: January – April 2026
- Contract: 6 months initially (with potential for extension)
- Hybrid Working: 2–3 days onsite every two weeks (onsite requirement likely to reduce during test execution)
- Language: Fluent German required
