Overview
An experienced SAP S/4HANA Retail Functional Expert responsible for the design, configuration, and optimisation of end-to-end retail processes across Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Finance & Controlling (FI/CO). The role supports SAP S/4HANA Retail implementations and transformations in public and private cloud environments, ensuring scalable, standardised, and clean-core compliant solutions.

Overview
An experienced SAP S/4HANA Retail Functional Expert responsible for the design, configuration, and optimisation of end-to-end retail processes across Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Finance & Controlling (FI/CO). The role supports SAP S/4HANA Retail implementations and transformations in public and private cloud environments, ensuring scalable, standardised, and clean-core compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support SAP S/4HANA Retail processes across SD, MM, and FI/CO, including pricing, purchasing, inventory management, billing, and financial integration.
- Translate business requirements into standardised SAP solutions, minimising custom developments and ensuring clean-core adherence.
- Support end-to-end retail scenarios, including omnichannel sales, supply chain, store operations, and financial close.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to ensure functional designs align with overall solution architecture.
- Participate in Explore, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy phases following SAP Activate methodology.
- Support data migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare activities.
- Act as a functional expert for stakeholders, providing guidance on SAP best practices and process optimisation.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Retail in SD, MM, and FI/CO.
- Proven experience delivering SAP Retail solutions in public and/or private cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of retail business processes, including merchandising, supply chain, and finance integration.
- Experience with pricing, inventory valuation, purchasing, and financial postings in a retail context.
- Familiarity with clean-core principles and SAP standard-driven implementations.
- Experience with omnichannel or POS integration.
- Exposure to SAP Industry Cloud or integration with third-party retail solutions.
- SAP certifications in SD, MM, FI/CO, or S/4HANA Retail.
