Freelance Opportunity – SAP Project Manager S/4HANA Brownfield Migration
Project:
We are currently supporting a client with the search for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead a large-scale S/4HANA Brownfield Migration project. You will be part of the pre-assessment project and then work on the migration from the very initial phases.
You will take on a leading role in managing a full brownfield migration from ECC to S/4HANA, with a planned go-live in January 2027. This includes managing technical workstreams, coordinating with system integrators, and ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
Contract Details:
Position: SAP Project Manager – S/4HANA Migration
Start Date: August 2025
Duration: Until December 2027 (with possible extensions)
Location: West of Düsseldorf, near the German/Dutch border
Travel: 50% onsite presence (every other week)
Working Language: Fluent German and English required
Rate: Negotiable, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end implementation, from planning through to go-live
• Organise and chair meetings and alignment sessions with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Act as key contact for technical aspects of the S/4HANA brownfield migration
• Oversee and manage the overall project budget
• Monitor and manage project risks and issues
• Collaborate closely with system integrators to ensure project milestones are met
• Drive the team toward a successful go-live in January 2027
Ideal Profile:
• Proven track record in SAP Project Management
• Strong experience with S/4HANA migrations, ideally brownfield projects
• Comfortable managing both technical and stakeholder-facing responsibilities
• Fluent in German and English
• Able to be on-site as required in the region west of Düsseldorf
