Role: SAP Basis TSM
Hiring Mode: Freelance contract for 1 year with extension
Location: Walldorf, Germany (Hybrid)
Language: English & German
Lead and manage SAP Basis operations across multiple SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/BI, PI/PO, Solution Manager, GRC, CRM, etc.).
Plan and execute system installations, upgrades, migrations, enhancement pack deployments, and patch management.
Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Oversee SAP HANA administration including backup/recovery, performance optimization, replication, and system checks.
Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS/CTS+), ensuring smooth change and release processes.
Lead technical troubleshooting for high-priority incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution.
Perform landscape architecture reviews, capacity planning, and environment strategy improvements.
Ensure system compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and SAP best practices.
Generate documentation for configuration, operational procedures, and technical changes.
Engage with vendors, SAP support, and stakeholders for issue escalation and landscape optimization.
Required
5+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience in complex SAP environments.
Experience in SAP NetWeaver architecture, SAP HANA database management, and OS-level administration (Linux/Unix/Windows).
Proven experience with SAP system migrations, S/4HANA conversions, cloud hosting (AWS/Azure/GCP), and high-availability setups.
Experience managing large SAP landscapes and leading technical initiatives or upgrades.
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
