IT2 Developer (ION Treasury & Banking) – Remote EU / UK

We are looking for an experienced IT2 Developer to support a Treasury & Banking programme within a large enterprise environment. The role focuses on ION IT2 custom development, automation, bank integrations, and production support, working closely with treasury teams and vendor support. Industry: Treasury & Banking Systems

Develop, enhance, and maintain custom data parsers in ION IT2 using Object REXX and related APIs.

Support bank onboarding and integrations, including payment instructions, bank statements, and reconciliation formats.

Build and maintain automation and integration solutions between IT2 and enterprise systems.

Troubleshoot production issues via IT2 log analysis, exception handling, and permanent fixes.

Design and maintain IT2 scripts using Object REXX, VBScript, or Visual Basic.

Write, review, and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database routines.

Maintain and extend reporting based on the IT2 data model and reporting structures.

Monitor system performance and implement preventive, long-term solutions.

Manage user access, system health checks, and maintenance activities.

Collaborate with ION vendor support on escalations, patches, and urgent fixes.

Document system changes, fixes, and best practices for audit and knowledge transfer.

Strong hands-on experience as an ION IT2 Core Developer

Expert knowledge of ION IT2 data model, schema, and data flows

Object REXX scripting (mandatory)

Strong SQL (queries, stored procedures, data integrity)

Experience with Treasury & Banking systems

Proven experience with bank integrations, payments, statements, reconciliation

Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments

Experience working directly with ION vendor support

Knowledge of treasury operations and financial workflows

Experience supporting regulated or audited environments
