We support the company in the project “SAP S/4HANA Utilities Transformation Grid and Meter Operator”. The external service provider is responsible for delivering defined work packages related to analysis, optimization, and implementation within the SAP S/4HANA solution landscape.
• Analyze and optimize inbound and outbound business processes in the SAP S/4HANA solution landscape (e.g., start/end of supply, supplier change, master data processes).
• Consider market processes for sending and receiving related market messages for backup/basic supply (EoG).
• Activate standard process modules (APE/UCOM/US4G) and extend them with customer-specific modules (BAdIs, process documents, etc.).
• Create technical concepts for implementing the customer’s functional requirements.
• Develop ABAP code in the customer’s development system in accordance with project-specific developer guidelines.
• Conduct functional coordination and handle technical clarifications in collaboration with company and customer employees.
• Perform developer and unit tests to ensure the quality of own developments.
• Analyze incidents and perform bug fixing in cooperation with project team members in DEV or QAS environments.
• Prepare technical documentation for all developments based on agreed project standards.
• Several years of experience in ABAP development within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong understanding of utilities industry processes (grid and metering).
• Experience with APE, UCOM, and US4G standard modules is a plus.
• Fluent in English (German language skills are an advantage).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in hybrid environments.
• Technical concepts for process implementation.
• ABAP developments according to project standards.
• Developer test documentation and technical specifications.
• Incident analysis reports and bug fixes.
• Project documentation stored according to internal project guidelines.
• Contract type: Project-based (freelance or service contract)
• Effort: 800 hours estimated
• Location: Hybrid (Gelsenkirchen, Germany)
• Project period: 24/10/2025 – 14/09/2026
