We have an exciting opportunity for a SAP Tax Stream Lead Consultant to join a major SAP S/4HANA Finance Rollout Project.
This is a hybrid position (project based in Munich, Germany), offering an excellent opportunity to lead the Tax stream within a multinational organization's European rollout initiative.
Role Details:
• Position: SAP Tax Stream Lead Consultant
• Project: SAP S/4HANA Finance & Tax Rollout (EMEA)
• Location: Hybrid (Client based in Munich, Germany)
• Duration: 8-month initial contract (contract signed off, extension possible)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Languages: English
Project Scope:
• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of direct and indirect tax solutions within a broader S/4HANA Finance rollout across multiple EMEA entities
• Configure tax determination across FI, SD, and MM/Purchasing modules without reliance on external tax engines
• Ensure alignment of tax processes with regional compliance requirements and internal standards (VAT, Withholding Tax, Intrastat)
• Act as the main point of contact for tax-related topics, liaising between finance teams, business units, IT teams, and external auditors
• Provide expertise on EMEA localizations and statutory reporting obligations within SAP
• Coordinate cross-functional workshops and lead discussions with key stakeholders to ensure cohesive integration and accurate tax processes
Key Requirements:
• Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA, especially in Finance (FI) and Tax areas
• Deep hands-on configuration knowledge of tax setups across Finance (FI), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Materials Management (MM)
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering EMEA rollout projects including country-specific localizations and compliance requirements
• Comfortable leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholder expectations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Practical knowledge in handling direct and indirect taxes without dependency on external tax engines
