As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and advancing the core applications within the technology ecosystem. You’ll be part of a dynamic team, working to enhance the scalability and performance of the tools that support sustainable energy solutions. In this role, you’ll directly contribute to optimising the infrastructure and software, enabling our client to make a greater impact in the clean energy sector.
Your Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy robust C# applications that support cutting-edge technologies and services.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Scientists, Product Owners, Frontend Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best software solutions are being built for the business.
• Work hand-in-hand with our software architects to guarantee the scalability and reliability of our solutions.
• Engage in problem-solving, and continuously pursue best practices in an Agile environment.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, actively challenging the status quo to improve efficiency and performance.
Your Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend and data-centric solutions.
• Proven expertise in C# and .NET technologies (e.g., .NET Core, ASP.NET).
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong background in database technologies, including SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, and containerization tools like Docker, along with familiarity with Linux-based operating systems.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and/or Python is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to thrive in an Agile/Scrum development environment
