For our client we are looking for a Network Architect (f/m/d).

Duration: 31.10.2025 (long term engagement (2026))
Capacity: 100% if possible
Location: 75% Remote, 25% Berlin (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times
Language: English, German is a plus
Role:
The infrastructure product line offers data center services that are provided via a software stack for other product lines within the program. The Network Architecture is a part of the Infrastructure Architecture.
Architecture is responsible for the strategy and vision of the Lead Infrastructure Architecture and other project architectures in the project group (i.e., compute, storage, software architects).
The network architecture within the program is responsible for the architecture of the infrastructure-wide network and security in coordination and after consultation, such as the architecture of the infrastructure technology.
Tasks:
- Deliver and Maintain a Robust Network Architecture for Private Cloud Infrastructure
- Ensure Compliance with Network, Security, and Performance Standards
- Adapt Architectural Solutions to Evolving Technology and Business Requirements
- Translate Technical and Platform Requirements into Executable Architectures
- Ensure Process Integration and Comprehensive Documentation
- Manage Work Autonomously and Mitigate Architectural Risks
Technical & Architectural Competence:
- Proven ability to design holistic, end-to-end architecture solutions that fit within a broader IT strategy.
- Experience with architecture governance, including validation, risk documentation, and integration with security/networking standards.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure principles, networking protocols, and security mechanisms within large-scale private cloud ecosystems.
- Capable of translating technical and EDP requirements into actionable architecture blueprints.
- Skilled in producing clear, professional architectural documentation and diagrams.
Skills (must-have):
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on architectural experience in private, on-premises cloud environments
- In-depth knowledge in Core DC Networking (VXLAN, FRRouting, OVS)
- In-depth knowledge in Core WAN Networking (MPLS, IS-IS, Segment Routing)
- Well-experienced in k8s networking (CNI, external-dns)
- Well-experienced in IXP Connectivity (BGP)
- Well-experienced in DNS, DHCP, IPAM (Infoblox, BIND9)
Skills (should-have);
- Well-experienced in DPU Based Networking (Nvidia)
- Multivendor Experience (Cumulus, Junos OS, Cisco NX-OS)
