Beschreibung

Für unseren Kunden aus der Energiebranche suchen wir derzeit einen Cloud Native Data Architect (m/w/d).

Start: asap
Laufzeit: 3 Monate mit Verlängerung
Auslastung: 100%
Standort: Berlin & Remote
Remote-Anteil: 50 - 75% nach Absprache

Tasks:
- Guide teams building data-intensive applications with known good practices for data architecture in a cloud native environment. Key questions to answer include:
o How to de-centralize and model the data within a microservices architecture analyzing from a business domain perspective? (eg: database per service pattern, transient and persistent data within bounded contexts)
o How to choose suitable data storage solutions based on business needs? (eg: Relational DBs, NoSQL, Time series DB, delta-lake, caches, etc.)
o How to effectively share data between application services at scale? (eg: messaging with Kafka)
o Principles of Data Mesh, data products, data quality and data SLOs
- Demonstrate the above concepts with working code using a reference codebase
- Collaborate with the EDP Data Team to ensure that the services offered reflect them accurately in the Reference Architecture documentation and codebase
- Provide actionable customer requirements to the EDP Data Team
- Recommend strategies for preventing data loss in a hybrid, multi data-centre environment

Must-have-Skills:
Experience as a cloud native Data architect with proof-points that the architected data workloads are operational at scale

• Deep understanding of data architectures (incl. data quality and data SLOs) in the context of cloud-native and distributed environments and the ability to articulate data concepts to different audiences
• Proven experience in helping development teams navigate the CAP theorem with trade-offs when choosing data storage technologies
Hands-on experience with the following Data technologies:
o Relational Databases (eg: PostgreSQL)
o NoSQL Databases (eg: MongoDB, Cassandra)
o Time series Databases (eg: TimescaleDB, InfluxDB)
o Graph Databases (eg: Neo4j)
o Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures
o Messaging/Data Streaming Systems (Apache Kafka)
o Data processing and workflows (eg: Spark, Dagster, Apache Airflow, etc)
• the Kubernetes ecosystem to build, deploy and troubleshoot container workloads
• CI/CD pipelines and related tooling to automate code build, test and deployment
• Development in at least one programming language (eg: java, python, golang)
• Strong knowledge of data security and the ability to specify at an architectural level the security best practices that must be incorporated when working with Data (encryption, access control, data classification and compliance, etc)
• Demonstrated experience in explaining the maturity required to use cloud native data technologies – not only on the IT side but especially on the Business side of an enterprise.
• Fluent English in speech and writing (at least B2)

Nice-to-have-Skills:
• Relevant certifications in cloud and cloud native technologies
• Understanding about the principles of Data Mesh & data products

Requirements:
The individual must be at a senior level in cloud-native data architecture with proven skills and experience in that area. We are looking for:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Able to work with highly experienced platform architects to shape and translate EDP current and future capabilities into a reference architecture for applications running on EDP
• Collaborative and co-creation mindset with experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, being comfortable in taking decisions informed by the position of a large number of stakeholders.
