Fixed Optic System

Ideally suited for laser micro-structuring, micro-cutting, micro-drilling and micro-welding applications on a variety of substrates, the microSTRUCTâ„¢ C is a highly flexible laser micromachining system used for product development and applied research. Widely used in microSTRUCTâ„¢ C systems, the Fixed-Optic System (FOS) provides a highly-configurable mounting platform for a large range of objectives to deliver a tailored, highly-focused laser beam to the workpiece, the facility to affect angular and lateral adjustments of the beam, the facility of a jet of inert gas to displace the air around the micromachining to prevent oxidization, to dispel the ablated material and to provide cooling, and the facility to adjust the jet relative to the beam for optimal flow performance. The design also offers a quick switch-out facility to mount differently-configured FOSs for other micromachining operations.
