A core-component of the microPREP™, the Axis System is essentially a 2-axis robot providing a precise mounting for the machine’s array of sample fixtures, precise alignment of the fixtures to the machine’s camera for setup and inspection of the micromachining process, auto-focusing, precise alignment of the fixtures to the machine’s laser scanner and a parking position for mounting / dismounting the fixtures.
