Remote with travel - Head office in Munich
€700-€900 a day

A €billion turnover business is searching for a Lead Data Scientist/Lead Big Data/BI Engineer to aid them with a new DWH build. The DWH is Google Big Query in GCP but you do not require experience in these areas and it is a fantastic chance to upskill in these in demand technologies.
This is sitting between a Product/Data Engineering team and Data Science team, leading both teams on Data Science/Enterprise Data topics - helping to shape the direction of the Data/ETL strategy and mentoring less experienced Data Scientists/Engineers
Requires an experienced Enterprise level Data Scientist/Lead Big Data/Business Intelligence Engineer who has experience of building data pipelines/ETL from Legacy in modern cloud environments - AWS is preferred due to similarities with GCP, Scripting agnostic for ETL - Python preferred
This is an initial DWH build and the ETL of Legacy to new but beyond this all customer and internal data will be migrated so the scope is large.
Munich based or Remote with adhoc travel to Munich

-Enterprise Data Warehouse Migrations to modern Cloud data lakes (AWS, Hadoop, Spark)
-Understanding of Data Science/Data Engineering in large environments to lead other teams
-ETL experience at enterprise level - can offer technology agnostic solutions
-Google Big Query/Google Cloud Platform - highly desirable, Big Table
-Scripting agnostic - SQL, Python preferred
