PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

We are looking for an intern to join the Solution Marketing & Communications team within the SAP Digital Business Services board area. The team's key focus is on marketing and communication for the complete SAP Digital Business Service portfolio - Service & Support offerings that help our customers on their journey to become a digital enterprise - a commitment to customer success. We support the execution of the corporate go-to-market strategy, roll-out of internal and external communications via multiple channels, and support product and brand awareness initiatives across board areas and lines of business.
Your focus would be around communications and additionally event preparation. This is a unique opportunity to put your communications skills to work and to help us to plan, create, and promote awareness around the various DBS priorities into internal and external web and social media channels. Plus for you to get experience into how events are planned, organized, and rolled out.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We want you to explore what we do, and to discover how you can best add value to our interdisciplinary team of service architects, designers, support experts, communication professionals, and marketing specialists - tasks could include:

. You will support the team around communication aspects for our various priorities. This would include the drafting of internal blog promotions and executive updates, plus bringing in new ideas on how to best use the company's social collaboration platform, SAP JAM.
. You will take the lead on coordinating all aspects of our executive marketing newsletter. This includes planning the editions, coordinating the portfolio leads, editorial of the content received, designing the newsletter, plus reporting on the uptake.
. You will also be part of the event planning team for preparing the SAPPHIRE NOW 2019 and take the lead on helping coordinate various parts of the event.
. You may also possibly take over responsibilities for smaller projects in areas beyond communications depending on your expertise, background, and interests.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
. Currently enrolled as Student at a university or university of applied sciences
. Preferred fields of study: Business Studies, Marketing, Communications, Humanities, or similar
. Computer skills: Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook Email Templates, PowerPoint), Social Media experience
. Language skills: Fluency in English, in particular written language (mandatory), German (beneficial)
. Soft skills: Enjoy writing and like to get creative in catching the audience's attention
. Investigative, curious, self-motivated, team player, creative
. Good self-organization skills since you'll treated as fully integrated team member with your own responsibilities
. Team player and enjoy interacting with diverse and international project teams/stakeholders
. Pro-active character and reliable in delivering results
. Project management experience that can be used in organizing SAP's biggest event
. A good understanding of web and social media is appreciated
