Seeking a GIS Analyst to be part of a team that is using local (city and county) GIS street data to inventory road networks. As an GIS analysts, you will create spatial data sets, prepare maps and maintain databases as well as prepare reports, perform research and give a professional opinion.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS 10.x Desktop software suite and general GIS principles and concepts is a huge plus.
- Must have experience with Ms Access and MS Excel
- Must be detail-oriented
- The candidate must be able to coordinate, plan, and support simultaneous tasks and GIS projects; prepare and deliver reports to the immediate supervisor and others
- Will use geospatial data in the creation and production of GIS maps and data; and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Required qualifications include a four-year college degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field, and proficiency with the ArcGIS 10.x Desktop software suite.
- Year contract with extension based on performance.
