2nd Line Audio Visual Engineer - Leeds 5 days per week - £260.00 per day inside IR35 - 3 months initially
A global managed service provider is seeking an experienced AV Support Technician to join their end client's team on an initial 3 month period on-site in Leeds.
You will provide technical support for the client's staff dealing with user enquiries, technical issues, and resolving problems in relation to AV/IT equipment as required.
You will be required to provide a flexible service, working as necessary to meet the needs of the business. This would normally equate to a 35-hour working week, worked 5 days over 7.
Responsibilities:
- Providing 2nd line technical support to a varied range of Audio Visual and IT. Troubleshooting equipment including preventative maintenance, and repair of faults and installation of replacement equipment.
- Prepare equipment for installation, including the commissioning of hardware, and programming control systems.
- Oversee installation tasks, and evaluate Audio Visual products, and where required, develop standard documentation and procedures.
- Liaising with manufacturers and monitoring of contractors on the repair of faulty equipment, organising quotes for out-of-warranty repairs.
- Providing technical support and advice to specific users including external conference customers and high-profile internal staff.
- Service is to include regular checks and maintenance of the equipment, provision of written instructions, and involvement with customer enquiries/training including demonstrating equipment usage.
- Keeping accurate records of the equipment inventory, and maintenance carried out.
- Assisting with 1st line support by performing routine checks, servicing of equipment and dealing with calls from users experiencing difficulty with the equipment.
