Beschreibung

Lead Business Analyst required to work with a Government department. This is an initial 6-month contract, paying £600 a day, inside IR35, remote working.

The Technology Team design, deliver and support the core infrastructure and systems that deliver services to circa 80,000 users across over 1,000 locations.

We are recruiting for a Lead Business Analyst to work alongside Commercial, Contract, Service, Security, Transition, Exit and Delivery Managers within the Technology Services Team to support us in procuring new contracts then transitioning services to new suppliers and exiting any remaining contracts.

The Lead Business Analyst will work closely with all members of the Authority Team as well as internal Technology teams, senior business Stakeholders and a range of other disciplines across the organisation in order to deliver fit for purpose services

Main Responsibilities:
*Work with the business areas to identify, capture and analyse the existing landscape and future technology requirements, this includes ensuring business requirements are met throughout project cycles.
*Translate business requirements into technical terms/artifacts
*Identify the opportunities and potential risks associated with business changes and reflect in detailed build requirements
*Identify and recommend the required build, system, process and technology requirements in order to provide appropriate business requirements and inform business cases and the commercial tender process.
*Demonstrate the value of proposals to the business areas through creating and presenting proposals.
*Produce written requirements documentation including reporting on findings to support the commercial tender process and to present to stakeholders when necessary.
*Ensure reporting plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes suggested, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
*Define test criteria, success metrics and mechanisms for monitoring data through the life cycles of services
*Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs, processes, and constraints in order to facilitate effective and efficient business process change
*Ensure business processes and policy objectives are understood and addressed appropriately by product teams
*Contribute to the definition of precise problems for investigation
*Collaborate with service teams to formulate hypotheses to test in service design phases.
*Calculate costs for full-service design and development phases
*Work with product managers to write and prioritise user stories
*Work with user researchers, service designers and technical architects to develop maps of relevant problem spaces
*Take ownership of reviewing the fit of services into existing business context and the identification of business changes required to support the services
*Contribute to the production and continued refinement of business cases through the life cycles of products and services ensuring the incorporation of proportionately robust and good quality evidence
*Assess the attractiveness and achievability of potential product iterations, and compare the case for doing further work against doing something completely different

Essential Skills:
*Experience as a Business Analyst in a technology environment is essential
*Comfortable with project management tools such as JIRA/Confluence/Google Docs
*A good understanding of the varying technologies, platforms and operational models
*Experience in driving requirements workshops to understand the customer business and operational outcomes.
*Steer new solutions to a successful outcome where multiple 3rd parties or technical stake holders are involved
*Able to determine where gaps exist in current architectures, people and processes and being proactive in bridging those gaps
*Excellent customer facing skills including senior stake holder management

Desirable Skills:
*Previous experience in a large government department
