VMware Cloud Engineer
We are seeking a VMware Cloud Engineer with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and vRealize Automation (VRA) experience to join JP Morgan in London on an initial 6 months contract. This role allows for a hybrid approach of 3 days in office and 2 days remote working.
Background
Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) provides a centralized service to JPMorgan delivering infrastructure. Within GTI, Core and Hosting Infrastructure Platforms focus on delivering modern, distributed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Iaas) capabilities to support the needs of business applications. The Infrastructure SRE build team is responsible for automating and delivering the platforms in support of GTI services, that revolve around VMware technologies. The focus is to achieve a comprehensive end-to-end delivery of components that are fully compliant and production ready.
Required Skills:
- Extensive VMware infrastructure build experience, particularly on deploying 7.0 and products VCF, vRO, vRA, cloudbuilder.
- vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) workflow development and troubleshooting.
- Powershell development experience, particularly on automating infrastructure deployments
- Python development experience, particularly on automating infrastructure deployments is highly desirable.
- Experience of working at an enterprise level and scale such as JPMC.
- Working knowledge of private cloud technologies would be beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver to a tight deadline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
