Our Client, one of the world's foremost Telecoms companies, is looking to recruit a Contract Senior Accountant to be based in London.
This is a six-month contract with immediate start, working for a blue-chip US multi-national technology company, based in our London office. The rate is £300 - £350 per day.
You will be part of the Revenue Accounting Team. The main purpose of this job is to support the team to provide timely and accurate monthly accounting and reporting information under US GAAP and support the statutory audits under local GAAP (IFRS) for a number of EMEA countries.
The core hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am-6pm, working 40 hours per week.
Main Responsibilities
• Monthly accounting and reporting under US GAAP and statutory reporting under local GAAP for several entities
• Preparation of monthly variance commentary for accounting movements (p/l and b/s)
• Prepare accounting entries including revenue deferrals, revenue accruals and credit note-related entries
• Prepare Year on Year analyses and AR Ageing Reports to support the audit of several statutory accounts
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as per the Group timetable using OneStream
• Close liaison with EMEA FP&A to assist with commentary against forecast
• Providing support to the annual US GAAP audit and quarterly review processes
• Working with Billing and Collections teams to obtain support for accounting entries and audit queries
• Other tasks to be determined by Revenue Team Manager
Minimum Requirements:-
• A Professional Accounting Qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• A number of years of experience within similar sized entities or from an accounting firm
• US GAAP or IFRS experience
• Experience of SAP or of other large ERP systems such as Oracle R12 or Essbase
• Microsoft Office - intermediate or advanced Excel
