IT Security Advisor/ Fully Remote
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Security Advisor to join a leading organisation for an initial 12 Months contract. The role will be fully remote.
As an IT Security Advisor - You will be supporting the security design, implementation, operations and integration of critical network security initiatives within Technologies. You will be responsible for providing technical support & troubleshoot issues with security devices across multiple regions and environments.
This role is inside IR35 so please bear this in mind when applying
Key skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technology field is preferred. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
- Experience with Proxy/Content Filtering technologies is a must preferable:
1. Palo Alto(Prisma)
2. Bluecoat Symantec
3. McAfee Webgateway
4. Cisco Ironport
5. PAC Servers. - Good understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals eg TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, OSI Model, Routing & Switching, Firewall Policy & Configuration, IPS.
- Experience with network troubleshooting, Firewall policy management, and Firewall administration & maintenance.
- Experience with security processes and documentation.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Understanding of logging mechanisms eg Syslog, Splunk.
