GDPR Compliance for Leading German Bank

context of GDPR. Developed a solution strategy to design and implemented data
mapping and erasure strategies within its 2000+ applications. Designed and

Shaped a solution for a German insurer to automate its IT help desk using IBM
Watson, with the potential of several million Euros in cost savings while increasing
the service level and employee satisfaction. Managed the whole project from scoping

Enterprise Data Warehouse for Leading German Insurer

Served as Lead Architect and Senior Developer in a team of up to 20 FTE for an
Enterprise Data Warehouse, enabling word-class efficiencies in business operations
as well as annual closing calculations. Automized labor-intensive tasks with ETL
generation modules, providing development efficiency gains of over 90% and saving
customer > 5 Mio. EUR. Led data quality measurs and developed both concepts and
modules for advanced historicization. Managed account operations and maintained a
stellar relationship with critical stakeholders throughout the project.

Machine Learning for an IoT-based Sensor and Actor Network

Developed and validated machine learning models to train a wireless network of light
sensors and luminaries to automatically control office lighting systems, in order to
leverage energy savings, comply with working safety regulations, and reduce effort in
the setup and calibration phase.

Modelling & Optimization of Mobile Radio Channel Usage
April 2010 - September 2012
Developed and validated novel (e.g. semi-stochastic) modelling approaches for mobile
radio channels. Modelled or approximated the problem as convex optimization
problems using respective physical effects to simulate the radio transmission and its
cellular networking aspects. Designed and implemented numerical optimization
algorithms to tune the model and calculate the most efficient resource allocation with
the mobile network.

Genetic Algorithms For Chip Layout Optimization
April 2009 - September 2012
Developed and tuned genetic algorithms to optimize chip layouts for the
semiconductor industry. The complexity was similar to mapping the the total German
Autobahn network (13.000.000 m) to a soccer penalty box (approx 35mx16m).
